In UE4 we have Matinee for one time events such as a giant door opening very dramatically or a ship that sinks in the distance or just every light goes out at once. There are a lot more possibilities. Matinee is especially if we combine many elements like light, movement and sound.
How to create a Matinee
- On the right side should be a Modes Panel (if not click on the windows button on the top and enable it)
- find Matinee
- then place it in the area you want to animate
- on the right side "Open Matinee"
How to set up Actor inside a Matinee normally
- continue from creating "How to create a Matinee"
- click on the actor you want to animate in some way
- right click on the left side where the ""
- click on empty group
- right click on the empty group and a
- then animate it with adding keys and moving them in the Curve Editor
